Plan to attend another exciting Tech Camp on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Temple Univerity's Annenberg Hall. We'll be offering sessions on blogging, Facebook and photos/videos.
We have limited seating to ensure that sessions are small and comfortable. This year's camp will be very hands-on. Click here for questions or comments.
I learned today that I was teachable, a participant said at Tech Camp in May. That pronouncement summed up an energizing, powerful and extraordinary day at our second camp.
The women created their own blogs and Facebook accounts, and learned how to shoot photos and video and upload them to the web.
Featured Blog: First Colored Wesley Methodist Church
Armed with training from Tech Camp and subsequent mini sessions, Rev. Ralinda Pickens-Golback created a free WordPress blog for First Colored Wesley Methodist Church in Philadelphia, where she is assistant pastor.
She photographed and dropped in the header, wrote the content, posted photos, and added pages and widgets. She set up a password-protected Members' Only page for church-goers. She updates the blog weekly with the help with another member.
We can provide a mini Tech Camp for your church, organization or other program. Just tell us what training you'd like and we'll create a program just for you.
Women who had never met before easily established connections, networked with each other, and found a place to learn technology tools they could use at the first WABW Tech camp was sponsored by We Are Black Women (WABW) and Digital Delta Media. Take a look at our story to see the learning and "funning" that took place, and read excerpts.
